Lesson 1-2: Deformations, Effects, and Filters (continued)
| 6. Here's the Skew again, only with the horizontal set to 0 and the vertical set to 5, to show the variation that can be achieved. | |
| 7. This deformation is called "Wind" (I wonder why...). I used the setting "from right" and set the strength to 5. You get a pretty extreme effect with this deformation. | |
| 8. This is the Vertical Cylinder deformation. I used it at the 65% setting. Strangely enough it looks very much like the Punch deformation. | |
| 9. Here we have the Horizontal Cylinder deformation. I used a setting of 85% for this graphic. | |
| 10. Moving down the Image Menu to the Effects selection, I used the Buttonize effect with transparent selected, height set to 22, width set to 22 and opacity set to 65. I rather liked this effect. | |
| 11. In fact, I liked it so much, I tried another buttonize, with solid selected, height set to 10, width set to 10, and opacity set to 65. It gives a nice 3D effect. | |
| Note: The Buttonize function provides a convenient browser window for adjusting the effects and seeing what they look like, before committing them to the graphic. | |
| And Still More Examples... |
