Combining two images with Image Arithmetic - Again. |
| I used the same two images as shown on the previous page. Only this time, I used the Average instead of the Add setting. All other settings remained the same. This one actually came out alittle better. |  |
 | As I am a methodical creature, I went through and tried changing one setting at a time to see what I would get. I found that by playing around with the brightness/contrast of Image #1 and sticking with the Average setting, I could produce a fairly credible result, as shown to the left. |
| Tinkering a wee bit more, got this result, shown right. If I messed too much with just selecting the red or the green or the blue channels (instead of using all of them) alot of times the product was so dark or so absolutely UGLY, that I discarded it. I think the arithmetic settings are based alot on the subject, colors, and luminescence of the original images that you are using. This of course bears more research (which I don't have time to do right now, but it is on the list). |  |
