As required, I've created a few background tiles for display. The background tile for this page is called tile1.gif and was created freehand as a 100x100 pixel tile.

The first three rows of background tiles were created by painting a 144x100 pixel transparent file with the fill tool using the rectangular gradient in the first two, and the radial gradient in the third.

Below that, I've provided samples of a few long tiles that I created. The valk files are 900x200 pixels in size and were created in layers, with the background gradiant as one layer and the image as another.
